RealRoots is an amazing way to meet likeminded women in your area. I’ve struggled with finding friends that are consistent in the same way that I am, and RealRoots gave me that structure and allowed me to grow with a group that I intend to continue seeing regularly.

Just like any social venture, it takes an open heart to truly make a connection from this experience, but having weekly activities organized for you over the course of 6 weeks is the most ideal set-up I can think of. I went into RealRoots with low expectations and a lot of nerves but it was the most rewarding experience. I met women I genuinely want to be friends with and had the opportunity to get to know them in a low stress environment. Uprooting my life and leaving my close friend group behind in another state was hard. I don’t usually have trouble making friends, but after more than a year in Brooklyn, I only had one solid friend.
